The Forest City Film Festival runs October 15 to 25, with opening night on October 16 launching the 11-day run. The festival has announced a full evening: a movie premiere at Wolf Performance Hall, a live Q+A with the lead actor and director, and then an after-party at Hard Rock Hotel London.
The film screening itself isn’t the only draw. Sticking around after the movie gets you a conversation with the people who made it, which is the kind of thing that makes a festival feel like more than just a cinema trip. Then a free shuttle runs from Wolf Performance Hall straight to the Hard Rock to keep things going.
Your ticket gets you one drink included, live music at the after-party, and access to a cash bar if you’re planning to settle in. The whole night is presented by TD Bank.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 19, and there are three ways to buy in. The Movie and Party bundle is $40. Just the Opening Night Movie Premiere is $25. Just the After-Party is $20.
For context, Wolf Performance Hall is the downtown London Public Library venue with a capacity of 369 and a laser projector setup, so it’s a solid room for a film premiere. The full festival runs October 15 to 25, making this opening night the launch of an 11-day run.
