This Sunday, September 20, former NHL players drop the puck against the London Law Enforcement All Stars in a charity game at the Western Fair Sports Centre, with all proceeds going to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario. Face-off is at 2 p.m.
It’s also the finale of the Sports Centre’s 25th anniversary celebrations, which have been running since September 11 with hockey history, skating, and community programming. The alumni game is the closer.
The $20 ticket covers both the game and full Western Fair admission, so you’re getting the whole fair thrown in. Kids 10 and under and adults 65 and older get in free, no ticket required. If you buy online, note that service fees apply on top of the base price.
The Western Fair grounds are at 845 Florence Street. The Sports Centre address listed on the London Tourism event page is 865 Florence St, so give yourself a few extra minutes if you’re navigating on foot.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run has been linking police services to Special Olympics fundraising since 1981.
