Return to the Abandoned Village at Fanshawe Pioneer Village

ByronScaryHouse is taking over Fanshawe Pioneer Village for Return to the Abandoned Village. This isn't a haunted house. It's a haunted village: guests follow a walking route through the museum grounds and pass through five buildings turned into scenes pulled from darkest nightmares.

Expect scare actors working the route, jump scares, tight spaces, flashing lights and loud sounds. The scenes are gory and graphic.

If you'd rather look at the sets than get chased through them, there's a daylight version of the same walk. Scare performers, strobes, fog and air blasts are all off, and every bit of the graphic imagery stays. It runs on two afternoons only, with earlier entry than the main run.

The route is outdoors, over gravel, uneven ground, forest and grass, roughly half a kilometre once you're inside. Large groups are split into smaller units of four as they go through.
